There are some shows on TV that audiences will simply never grow bored of. Can you believe it’s been on screens since 1963? Surely not?

Well, it certainly has. The American daytime soap opera holds the honor of being the world’s second-longest-running televised soap opera still in production.

Created by Frank and Doris Hursley, the titular hospital has been a destination for the fandom for decades and one of the reasons it remains so fresh is you never know when new characters may arrive and when familiar faces will go.

Speaking of exits, why why is Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) leaving General Hospital?

It was announced in August 2022 that Kelly would be departing from General Hospital later in the year and seizing the opportunity to reprise her former role on Station 19, People reports.

“Excited to be back on Station 19 stirring up trouble!” she captioned an Instagram post, while some of her General Hospital colleagues congratulated and wished her their best in the comments.

Kelly had a recurring role on ABC’s Station 19 as Eva Vasquez back in 2020. However, her return for season 6 has been locked in, likely causing scheduling conflicts regarding the two projects.

Britt officially exited General Hospital during an episode aired in the first week of January 2023, but how did she go?

Britt was murdered by the notorious Hook Killer who has been plaguing the town more recently.

Tragically, the Britch passed away being held by her mother on The Haunted Star following the shocking and fatal encounter.

This comes shortly after a bunch of people celebrated Britt’s birthday with a big party. Although she wanted to get away from her loved ones so they wouldn’t see her succumb to the effects of Huntington’s disease, her chance meeting with the Hook Killer changed everything.

Indeed, that’s curtains on Britt for good.
