The Audi e-tron GT features a quality interior with plenty of driving-focused tech and a comfortable layout.

As it is becoming the norm with most highly-competitive car manufacturers, Audi’s latest performance model comes in the form of an electric four-door sedan, taking advantage of the Porsche Taycan’s same platform to build the Audi e-tron GT. Much like its brother, the EV super sedan features a motor on each axle, all-wheel-drive, and plenty of performance.

Starting at nearly $107,000, the electric Audi isn’t cheap by any means, but it shouldn’t be considering its credentials. The base-level e-tron GT puts down a combined power output of 522 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque for a 0-60 mph runtime of 3.6 seconds, while the RS version steps it up to 637 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque, able to go from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.

Performance isn’t the only thing that the e-tron GT has to offer, and in true Audi fashion, it also boasts a luxurious and stylish cabin with plenty of features. Here’s a detailed look at the Audi e-tron GT’s interior.

Step inside the GT’s cabin, and you’ll be greeted by an organized array of screens and buttons that’s meant to make things as easy as possible when it comes to interior comfort settings selection and configuration. The center console is built around a 10.1-inch infotainment screen that covers the vehicle’s entertainment and basic functions; it’s very responsive and simple, and you won’t find yourself jumping from menu to menu to find the settings you desire.

Next up, there’s a dedicated climate control panel beneath the center infotainment screen, composed of a miniature screen with several configuration buttons. Most modern Audis feature an entire touchscreen for climate settings, but the German carmakers wanted to make the e-tron GT more driver-oriented and easy to use, which is why they opted for a cluster of buttons to cover the vehicle’s climate controls. As expected, it’s extremely intuitive and can be used without taking your eyes off the road.

Another control setting worth mentioning is the media control panel, which is a circular touch-sensitive disc placed right next to the gear selector. Pressing on different parts of the circle determines specific actions such as play/pause or skipping to the next song while sliding your finger around the disc controls the volume. It's one of the most creative takes on media settings we’ve seen in the entire car industry.

The digital driver’s display that serves as the e-tron GT’s gauge cluster is one of the best there is along with Mercedes-Benz’s. It’s ultra configurable through the left-side buttons found on the steering wheel, and it looks just as good as it works.

The build quality of the Audi e-tron GT’s cabin provides a sense of occasion with upscale trimmings, such as leather, brushed aluminum, and other feel-good synthetic materials. The RS version adds sportier accents and carbon fiber inserts to the mix, as well as RS badging on the steering wheel and door sills. The front bucket seats are incredibly comfortable and grippy; they come standard with multi-configurable seating positions and can be optioned with heated, cooled, and massaging functions. The rear seats provide plenty of legroom, yet the e-tron GT’s sloping hood might eat into the headspace of larger adults. Storage is decent yet not overly so, as the e-tron provides about 12 cubic feet of cargo space between the frunk and trunk.

The only issue we found with the e-tron GT’s interior has to do with connectivity. While Audi does provide both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features in the e-tron GT, Android Auto only functions when connected directly by cable, and can’t be connected wirelessly.

All in all, the Audi e-tron GT’s interior is immensely comfortable, well-built, and sublimely designed - it definitely holds up to the performance and exterior standards set by the vehicle, and is undoubtedly a pleasure to be in.
