A sassy gorilla has both terrified and delighted zoo guests, becoming an instant hit online with his questionable behaviour on camera.

This simian slide put King Kong’s entrance in the 1933 flick to shame.

A silverback gorilla scared the daylights out of a South Carolina zoo-goer after smoothly sliding into frame like a boss, as seen in this bananas TikTok clip with 64 million views, the NY Post reports.

The video, shot by guest Tina Flick, starts off by showing gorillas milling about in an enclosure at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia.

Then, it’s on like Donkey Kong – a giant silverback bursts into the enclosure from the back room and slides right up to the glass so it’s face-to-face with the observers, who can be heard laughing nervously.

“That scared the heck out of me,” Ms Flick exclaims in the background.

The “396-pound beast,” allegedly named Cenzoo, then wheels around so its behemoth hairy booty is oriented toward the camera, before sauntering into the gorilla door from whence it came.

Needless to say, viewers agreed that 26-year-old Cenzoo definitely knew how to make an entrance.

“And THAT’S how to make an entrance,” exclaimed one awe-struck viewer, while another wrote, “WHY’D HE BACK IT UP ON YOU IM CRYINGGG.”

“He’s smiling too, he’s done this before,” speculated one armchair gorilla expert.

Others labelled the move the “smoothest” thing ever with some comparing it to the “electric slide” while others believed he was aping Michael Jackson’s moonwalk.

One even suggested she pair the clip with the Tokyo Drift soundtrack, which Ms Flick obliged in a video with 2.4 million views.

Cenzoo was transferred to Riverbanks from the Birmingham Zoo, which described the alpha male on its site as a beast that enjoys “his food,” with favourites including “fresh fruits and vegetables, leafy greens, fresh cut tree branches and alfalfa hay.”

“Like most adult gorillas, Cenzoo spends a good amount of time resting but he also enjoys other activities such as observing the activities of the train behind the Primate Building, using tools, and engaging in training sessions with his zookeepers,” they wrote.

In a more salacious simian display in September, a frisky gorilla was filmed performing oral sex on its partner in front of aghast guests at the Bronx Zoo.

A woman who was caught on camera allegedly drowning and beating her pet Chihuahua is a “despicable excuse for a human being”, police say.

The horse, named Ryder, spent the night at a stable after he was filmed lying in the middle of the street as his driver repeatedly struck him.

Australia’s gutsiest roo has been caught in the act outside the Russian embassy, prompting an immediate response from officials.
